SYNOPSIS
“Whatever falls from the sky belongs to you”. It’s the unwritten law of the Kazakh steppes, greedily observed by the inhabitants of a small village. Each day, they collect space debris from the nearby Baikonur space center. The last two members of the young generation in the village are Iskander, called Gagarin by everyone, and crazy Nazira, who is secretly in love with the boy. However, he pays no mind to her unconventional advances. When French astronaut Julie literally “falls from the sky” in a small space shuttle, Iskander is the first to find her. The girl has lost her memory, and by law “whatever falls from the sky is yours” so Iskander introduces her to everyone as his future wife. However, even the most romantic lie won’t stay hidden forever. Soon “Gagarin” won’t know where and next to whom his own place is.
