SYNOPSIS
Igor is an 11-year-old, whose parents got divorced. During one of his visits to dad’s place, an ornithologist specializing in observing cranes, he witnesses the birth of a nestling that he names Karl. Igor’s mother decides to move from Russia to Israel to start over. Igor’s father embarks on a journey following the migrating cranes. One day Karl’s parents die, leaving the young crane all alone. Igor fi nds it hard to make friends in a new place. In the end, following advice from a girl called Vered he takes a decision to build a winter home for Karl.
