When a popular school teacher commits suicide, the entire school community is deeply shocked. However, adults don’t want to talk about what has happened, failing to notice that children abandoned by the tragically deceased teacher feel disoriented and don’t understand the whole situation. It is only the new class teacher, Mr. Lazhar, who helps kids come to terms with the tragedy. But no one in the school realizes that Mr. Lazhar has been through painful experiences and is now in a dramatic situation himself.
