LIVE-ACTION FILMS:

Kamil Skibiński

Born in 1991. A student of film at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Co-organiser of two editions of the FilmUW Film Festival, he is participating in preparations for the next edition. A member of the Kolektyw 1a group. He is interested in animation, experimental cinema and the film theory of Gilles Deleuze.

Karol Komorowski

Born in 1994. He lives and works in Warsaw, where he is involved in photography and film. A student of the cameraman Krzysztof Tusiewicz. In February of the present year he was expelled from secondary school following the controversies aroused by the film The Portrait, which he directed. He is interested in the relationship between documentary activities and the status of a "work of art". Holder of a scholarship from the Academy of Photography in Warsaw.

Karol Kućmierz

Born in 1988 – a graduate of culture studies at the Silesian University in Katowice (major: media studies). He published articles in "Nowe Zagłębie",  "Suplement" - a student magazine at the Silesian University, an on internet portals: Esensja, E-splot, Reflektor, Portal Katowicki, Klub Miłośników Filmu. He is interested in American audiovisual culture, popular music, and literature. Awarded the 3rd prize at the 16th Krzysztof Mętrak Competition.

Monika Majkowska

She comes from Wałbrzych. A 1st year student of film and television production organisation at the Łódź Film School. She took 1st place at the 23rd Polish Film Knowledge Quiz for high school students (2012). In 2011, she took 2nd place in the same competition. A finalist of the 35th Arts Competition - visual arts section (2011). She loves spending time at film festivals. Her favourite film directors include Ingmar Bergman, Todd Solondz, David Lynch, Billy Wilder and Luis Bunuel. Her most beloved film: Hal Hartley's Trust. As regards music, she loves PJ Harvey, Portishead and Yanna.

 

ANIMATIONS:

Paulina Wyrt

She studies animation at the University of Arts in Poznań. For many years, she has been collaborating with the Children’s Art Centre as an organizer and leader of animated film workshops. She has been recognized and won awards at many contests. In 2012 she won the 3rd prize at the Wielkopolskie Porównania Filmowe (Wielkopolska Region Film Comparisons) and 1st prize for Form in TheOneMinutes film competition of one-minute shorts.

Szymon Adamczak

Born in 1991, a student of MISH (Inter-Faculty Individual Liberal Studies) at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He collaborates with the Theatre Institute (critic of "Nowa Siła Krytyczna"), "Czas Kultury" and "Dwutygodnik" magazines. A member of the Kolektyw 1a group, active at St Wojciech's Heights in Poznań. A dramatist and playwright (A Doll's House, Nowy Theatre in Poznań; Kto zabił Alonę Iwanowną?, Dramatyczny Theatre in Warsaw). He is interested in animal studies and post-dramatic theatre.

Tomasz Borczyk

A high-school student. Prizewinner of the 21st Polish Film Knowledge Quiz, double prizewinner of the Złote Pióro (Golden Quill) prize awarded by the jury led by Bożena Janicka ("Kino" magazine). A reviewer on the 5kilokultury.wordpress.com web portal. He assists in the organization of the Cult Film Festival in Katowice. He loves all kinds of film, from Ed Wood to Fellini. Apart from film and writing, theater is his third passion. He very much prefers the live, organic nature of festivals to watching films at home.
