SYNOPSIS

It’s the year 1936. Doctor Korczak, who runs a popular radio talk programme, is called in by his boss where he learns his show goes off the air. Disappointed by his act of anti-Semitism, he focuses solely on his work as a pedagogue. He runs an orphanage for Jewish children and lectures at the Medical Academy. It’s September 1939. The war breaks out. During the defence of Warsaw Korczak works as a military doctor. After surrender, he goes back to his orphanage which soon gets transferred to the ghetto. Doctor Korczak stands by “his” children until the end, until their transport to the concentration camp in Treblinka.
